Charlotte's Web: Chapter 10 - pages 66-77

The spider waited and waited for an idea to come to her head. She was determined to keep her promise. Finally, part of an idea came to her head but she couldn't figure it out completely. Fern and Avery were visiting the animals. They played around in the yard and then had blueberry pie. When they were finished they went outside to swing on the rope. After that they Fern went to visit Wilbur again. Avery saw Charlotte's web. As he walked closer he saw the spider and he wanted to capture it. So he took the top of a candy box and a stick and was trying to capture the spider. He put a leg over the pig pen and lost his balance and fell on Wilbur's trough - the trough was covering the rotten egg! The rotten egg busted and it stunk to high heavens. Everyone in the barn was mad about the stench but Wilbur didn't mind it so much since it saved Charlotte's life. Then came Lurvy with Wilbur's meal and he ate and thouroughly enjoyed. He was going to leave half a noodle for Templeton but since Templeton's rotten egg saved Charlotte's life he decided to leave him a whole noodle. That evening Charlotte began weaving that evening while no one was watching. She had an idea and in the morning we will see what came of it.
